The Tribune Dated 15th October, 2022

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that our Party does not have anything to do with Sikhs For Justice, which this newspaper says that this organization is holding a Referendum. This news also states that “anti-Sikh riots in India”. The news is attributed to Ministry of External Affairs and its spokesperson Mr. Arindam Bagchi.

The fact is that the Hindu Indian state committed the genocide of the Sikh people that year in 1984. This genocide is registered in some of the USA’s state legislatures. There is no denying this fact. A statement which lessens the gravity of the crime of genocide belittles the image of the Hindu Indian state.

In fact the Hindu Indian state does not recognise international and UN laws on Human Rights as it has not put its signature for ratification of the following UN treaties, covenants, conventions and protocols :

1. 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

2. 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees.

3. 1954 Convention relating to Status of Stateless Persons.

4. 1960 Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples.

5. 1965 International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

6. 1966 Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

7. 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees. It is because there are still 30,000 Sikh Stateless refugees in Kashmir since 1947.

8. 1972 Treaty on the Limitation of Anti-Ballistic Missile System.

9. 1972 Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. If this Convention had been followed, neither the Darbar Sahib, the Golden Temple would not have been reduced to rubble nor the Babri Masjid in 1992.

10. 1984 Convention against Torture and other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

11. 1984 Safeguard and guaranteeing protection of the Rights of those facing the death penalty.

12. 1995 Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

13. 1996 Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

14. 1997 Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of anti-Personnel Mines and their Destruction (the Ottawa Convention on the abolition of landmines).

15. 2001 Rome Statute, by virtue of which the International Criminal Court has been set up at The Hague.

16. 2010 The Convention on Cluster Munitions prohibits all use, stockpiling, production and transfer of Cluster Munitions.

As the question of holding a referendum in Canada is concerned, we state that an election, referendum

and plebiscite are basic principles of a democracy. The Hindu state claims that it is the biggest democracy in the world. But it refuses to recognise the basic principles of democracy mentioned above, whereby the wishes of the people can be gauged peacefully and democratically. It must be recorded that the Hindu state does not recognise and implement the UNSC resolution for a plebiscite for Kashmir, which was passed in 1948.

Our Party may also state that the Hindu Indian state does not recognise the basic democratic practice of elections. As Canada must know that the Sikh Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee or the Sikh Parliament was constituted in 1925 in a legal statute. Elections to this oldest Parliament in Asia are to be held every five years but for the last eleven years the Union Government in Delhi is not holding the elections as per its legal duty. The Sikh Parliament has become a lame duck Parliament much to the annoyance of the democratically inclined Sikh peoples.

Now the Hindu Indian state has issued a demarche to Canada over a referendum, which Canada in practice of its democracy wants to hold, for whatever purpose as a sovereign state desires.

On the other hand, the Hindu Indian state it has supported the referendum of Russia held in the occupied territories of Ukraine. The report from The Tribune dated 14th October-2022 is produced below :

We now post another prejudiced and false accusation against the Sikh’s printed in The Tribune dated 11th October-2022, once again issued by the same officer mentioned above Mr. Arindam Bagchi, which reads as follows:

Here too the Hindu state’s External Affairs Minister speaks of the “Bombing of Air India Kanishka air craft – Air India flight 182 on June, 23rd -1985.” This charge against the Sikhs is also a falsehood to malign the image of the Sikh’s abroad. The fact is that the cry for Khalistan was in full swing when this tragedy took place. The then Rajiv Gandhi Union Government did this mischief to show the Sikh’s in a negative manner so that they could be painted as terrorists.

But the facts are that two officials of the Indian High Commission in Canada who were to board flight No. 182, cancelled their flight at the eleventh hour and did not board this flight. Why ? Then it is rare for Canada to throw out diplomats from their country. Two such Hindu Indian diplomats were asked to leave Canada because they were up to mischief to disturb the peace of the Canadian Sikh’s.

Talwinder Singh was a Canadian Sikh wanted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for interrogation in the Kanishka crash. But Talwinder Singh was in the Hindu Indian state then. He was captured alive by the Punjab Police and before we could hear something about this capture Talwinder Singh was shot dead in a extra judicial murder at the orders of the then notorious Director General of Punjab Police – KPS Gill. Our question is if the RCMP wanted Talwinder Singh to be interrogated why he was not handed over to Canada as the Police here perfectly knew he was a wanted man by the Canadian Police?

The other point is that the Coroner Report of Ireland shows that the Air India flight did not crash into the Irish Sea because of a blast within it.

Therefore, to issue a demarche to Canada by the External Affairs Ministry of THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian state) is something which we would call a witch hunt against the Sikh’s.

The other point is that the Canadian Government appointed the Major Commission to go into the downing of the Air India flight. The Sikh’s as accused are not blamed in any way for this foul misdeed which was designed and implemented by the Rajiv Gandhi Union Government then.

Our Party seeks an apology from the Hindu Indian state for calling into question the basic principles of democracy and maligning the good image of the Sikh’s. Briefly we may state that THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian state) does not believe in the basic principles and tools of a democracy, those being election, referendum and plebiscite.
