Union Government must tell the truth about current occupation of Ladakh territory and the Make in India weaponry policy? -Simranjit Singh Mānn
The Tribune Dated 14th October, 2022

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it’s unfortunate, though Prime Minister and Defence Minister state that they are becoming self-sufficient in military wares but the Hindu Indian state cannot make a jet engine and gas turbines for the aircraft carrier which are being imported from the United States.
Apart from this the Hindu Indian state is incapable of producing basic infantry rifles as 71,000 rifles are being imported from an American firm SiG Saure, 93,000 rifles from UAE and a fresh order to import 4,25,000 is being placed.
We wish to know why these mis-leading statements are being made and why the Hindu Indian state is soft on the occupation of Ladakh territories in 1962 and 2020 though Prime Minister has stated “ Not an inch of territory was lost”. To add to this, Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh says “Not an inch of territory was lost”.
If this is the stand of the Hindu Indian state, then why is the Hindu Indian state saying that it wants the restoration of status quo ante of April 2020 in Ladakh?
We are aware that 67 percent of the weaponry with the Hindu Indian state has become obsolete. That is why it is ordering in bulk infantry rifles as stated above. Our Party wants the truth. We have always known that UAE has rare Arabian breed horses and camels that can withstand the hot dryness of the desert but now our knowledge has been advanced that it is in the process of ordering 4,25,000 infantry rifles. Then where is the Make in India of the weaponry when a basic rifle is being imported? This needs an explanation and we cannot afford to bury our heads in the sand like ostriches.
