Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this decision of the Supreme Court indicates that the minorities, schedule castes, Tribal’s and the poor do not receive justice. It is a double shame that Bibi Bano was raped by fanatic Hindu mobs and her relatives put to death in a barbaric and uncivilized manner.
Mr. Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat when this horrible and merciless crime took place in his state. Mr. Amit Shah, his close friend must also have been an important figure in Mr. Modi’s government.
The Supreme Court has indicted the Gujarat government as it had no authority to give parole, bail or reprieve to the criminals. This was the job of the Bombay High Court.
In this manner the Supreme Court has also indicted the Union Home Ministry which is headed by Mr. Amit Shah and his senior officers who are on extension in service, having retired some years ago. They must have got their extension in service because of their administrative calibre, but it is unfortunate that they too fell to the communal Hindutva feeling which is the ideology of the current BJP-RSS Union Government of Mr. Modi. This is unfortunate and bodes ill for the future of the country which has a secular constitution.
What is worse is that these criminals were set free with a remission on 15th August 2023, which happens to be observed as the Independence Day, a day when great accomplished citizens win medals for their out standing work, whether in military or civil achievements. We ask whether these criminals did some out standing work, whereas they were under going punishment for raping Bibi Bano and killing her innocent relatives. They did not spare the child girl of Bibi Bano and murdered her as well. Was it right for the Union Home Ministry under Mr. Amit Shah and the government of Gujarat to set these scalawag’s free on an auspicious day like Independence Day last year?
We think a complete rot has stepped into the functioning of the BJP-RSS Union Government headed by Premier Modi and his Home Minister Amit Shah. Only the people can salvage this wreck and we hope this year in the Parliamentary poll the people will wisely choose a government that is secular and takes all religions, castes, tribes, schedule castes and the homeless poor along.
It is this appalling criminality that has set into the present BJP-RSS Union Government of Premier Modi that it has had the audacity to have Sikhs assassinated in Canada, UK, Islamic Pakistan, Haryana and Punjab- they being Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Ripudaman Singh Malik, Sukhdool Singh of Canada, Avtar Singh Khanda of UK, Parmjit Singh Panjwar and Lakhbir Singh Rode of Islamic Pakistan, Deep Singh Sidhu of Haryana, Subhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala of Punjab.
We are aware that the BJP-RSS Union Government has other plans to assassinate more Sikhs who believe in a separate sovereign Sikh state through International Law, peacefully and legally.
In the past the Sikhs have given their lives to live as an independent sovereign nation. They have suffered the genocide of the Moughal Empire, Afghan rule, British rule and now presently in 1984 the Sikhs saw the holocaust when the Hindu Indian state under Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi committed the crime of genocide, memoricide, vandalism and ethnocide of the Sikh peoples, with impunity.
My party, on behalf of the Sikh peoples wants to tell Premier Narendra Modi and his Home Minister Amit Shah that under their regime where assassinations of Sikhs here within the country and abroad have begun, we Sikhs will not be afraid of dying for our Sikh principles and liberty.
Bibi Bano has received justice eventually but who will amongst Mr. Modi, Mr. Shah and the senior Union Home Ministry officials bring back her young daughter and her relatives. Our party is sorry and prays to Waheguru Sahib to restore the courage and will of Bibi Bano and her relatives who have lost their own, to stand up to evil and fight the perpetrators and murderers of innocent people and restore democracy and the rule of law.
Sadly in 2013, Mr. Narendra Modi as Chief Minister of Gujarat confiscated the farmlands and homesteads of 60,000 Sikh farmers. This is what President Mujabe did in Zimbabwe to the white farmers who were not paid any compensation.
If Premier Modi and Mr. Shah get their cue from the misdeeds done abroad then Premier Modi has copied the methods of Israel’s secret service, the Mossad which also assassinates people in other countries. We think that the officers like National Security Advisor, Cabinet Secretary, Directors of R&AW, Intelligence Bureau and Military Intelligence who have assassinated Sikhs here within the country and abroad will eventually have to pay for these beastly crimes which are inhuman.
