The Hindu Indian state must respect International law and commitments. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 19th July 2023.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) is violation of international law and principles as it has not given the Rohingas political asylum, as they have fled their country Burma, where their lives and properties are insecure.

We state we would like to reiterate that Article 14.1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights clearly and unambiguously states that:

“Everyone has the right to seek and enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.”

The Declaration on Territorial Asylum (1967) describes the principles on which states should base themselves in their practices relating to territorial asylum. One of the principles is non-refoulement: “the prohibition to forcibly send back a person to a country that is dangerous for the asylum-seeker.

We are bringing these inhuman practices of the Hindu Indian state to the notice of the Supreme Court, Jammu & Kashmir High Court, the Union Home Ministry and the Union External Affairs Ministry.

The actual cause of ill-treating the Rohingas is that they are Muslim and the Hindu Indian state is against Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Schedule castes and Tribals or Abroigines.

This is the reason why the Hindu Indian state is not honouring its human and international commitments.

The United Nations must also take cogniznance of this barbaric ill-treatment of the suffering Rohingas who have entered THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) to save themselves from persecution in their motherland Burma.
