Good when The Tribune derives vicarious pleasure when our party loses. Simranjit Singh Mānn, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 15th May 2023.

Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar states that our party is very happy that The Tribune, it’s editor, it’s journalists and members of the Trust have felt great vicarious pleasure that our party received 2.29% votes in the Jalandhar by-poll.

This reminds us of Fracis Bacons words-that the Puritans hated bear baiting not because it gave pain to the bear but because it gave pleasure to the spectators.

Our party enjoys when the forces of Hindutva seek pleasure when our party receives less votes but when our party registers a victory, The Tribune and it’s journalists go into a deep depression and gloom.

The Tribune and other Hindutva newspapers are always trying to defame me and the Sikhs in this news item “Only 2.29% votes for SAD(A)” written by Vishav Bharti are calling me a radical. But the fact is that Hindutva fanatics like the reporter and The Tribune never mention the genocide, memoricide, vandalism and ethnocide committed by the forces of Hindutva against the Sikh peoples. If Mr. Vishav Bharti says that I am a radical then it would be safe and fair to call these Hindutva fanatics as genocidaries. It is unfortunates that the trustees of The Tribune are encouraging such Hindutva fanatics to call Sikhs radicals etc.
