The Times of India dated 11th May 2023

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar states that just the other day the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (see page 67 ante.) had stated that the minorities, schedule castes and Tribal inhabitants had lost their human and religious rights. This is a report from the Times of India entitled “Dalit groom forced off horse by upper castes, women guests molested in Agra” dated 11th May 2023 which states that a schedule caste groom was not allowed to ride a horse on his wedding by the upper caste Hindus who belong to the Thakur or Rajput caste.

These upper caste Thakur’s also bashed into the wedding party and molested the groom’s female relatives.

Therefore, the US Commission on International Religious Freedom is correct in stating that there are human and religious right violations in the Hindu Indian state.

It is regretted that the US Department of State is not taking action as advised by the US Commission on International Religious Freedom.

Such discrimination against the schedule caste is akin to apartheid and stems from the Hindu text Manusmriti which is an ancient legal text or Dharmashastra of Hinduism. We present the report from The Times of India dated 11th May 2023 below:-
