Sikh’s who have not been convicted cannot be called gangsters and terrorists by the Hindutva Newspaper. – Simranjit Singh Mann.

Hindustan Times dated 27th November 2022

Comments by Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is a cardinal principle of jurisprudence that no person is guilty of committing a crime till a Court of Justice convicts a person.
It is unfortunate that we Sikh are living in a land that is not their country. Newspapers like the Hindustan Times have a free passage of declaring the Sikh’s as gangsters and terrorists. We lack the funds to take them to Court.
As far as the NIA( National ) is concerned, it was given the task to prosecute the ISIS scalawags who had murdered 25 Sikhs in Kabul’s Guru Har Rai Sahib’s Gurudwara. At that period time the Hindu Indian state had a full run in Afghanistan, during its occupation by the USA. But though our Party followed this case with the NIA, but it did not yield any result. As a result the ISIS has had a freehand in the murder of countless Sikhs, 37 in Iraq, one Sikh doctor in Peshawar and one lady Principal in Srinagar. But, though the ISIS has become a rogue organization, the Hindu Indian state which has the responsibility to guard the life, liberty and property of the Sikh peoples, it has not fulfilled its duty and responsibility.
These seven figures in the Hindustan Times who are described as Sikh’s but named as gangsters and terrorists, our Party takes it ill to publish such pictures when they have not been brought to trial and convicted.
From the pictures these figures appear to be young and we feel it is our duty to bring them into the fold of society as dutiful citizens, which becomes the duty of the state and in the case of Sikh’s, the duty of the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandak Committee. But this statutory committee has become a lame duck Parliament as the Hindutva Indian Government has not held its elections for the last 12 years. Therefore, the Hindutva press and its Government have a free run to do what they may with the lives of the Sikh peoples.
If the NIA is so committed to bring these seven Sikh’s before the Court, may we ask what hindered this organization in bringing the ISIS scalawags who had been captured by the Afghan authorities for the murder of Sikhs in Kabul to be prosecuted and punished in a Court of Law?
