Sikhs do not want a barter deal in Ladakh. Simranjit Singh Mann.

The Tribune Dated 20th October 2022

Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar states that the author has written a good article. The trouble was in 1962 that the Intelligence Services, the Home Ministry and The Foreign Office did not play an active role in informing the Union Government about the Communist Chinese.

Similarly in 2020 R&aW, IB, National Technical Research Organization, Military Intelligence, the Home and Foreign Offices were silent observers and mere passengers on the train. The Para Military Forces also have an important role like the ITBP and BSF besides the state CID’s. They all failed.

The author suggests that there should be an exchange of Aksi Chin in Ladakh which would go to China and NEFA to the Hindu Indian state.

Here the Sikhs would have a major objection in such an exchange, as it was the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire1799-1849) that annexed Ladakh in 1834. The Sikhs would not agree to such an exchange as their ancestors blood has been spilled in this integration of the Lahore Darbar.

The Sikhs have never agreed to the partitioning of Kashmir in 1947 as Kashmir was annexed by the Lahore Darbar in 1819 when it was a province of Afghanistan.

Thereafter the Sikhs have never agreed to imperial cartography as the Radcliffe Line of 1947 and then in 1966 again a partition of the Punjab by the Hindu Indian state.

Since the Sikhs have no access to the sea we want the Wagha Border to be opened for trade with Islamic Pakistan, West Asia, erstwhile countries of Soviet Russia, those being in Central Asia, and Russia itself.

We think that since Islamic Pakistan has been dropped off FATAF and the WTO wants open borders for trade, therefore looking at International treaties the Hindu Indian state should have no objection to opening the Wagha Border for trade, commerce, religious tourism and tourism in general.

We do hope that the powers that be are listening to the voice of the stateless Sikhs.
