Humungous Human Rights breaches of scholars, writers and journalists of Kashmir take place with impunity. Neither Hindu India nor Islamic Pakistan take cognizance. -Simranjit Singh Mānn

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the BJP- RSS Union Government headed by Premier Narendra Modi is committing humungous Human Right violations since 5th August 2019 when the province of Jammu Kashmir was reduced in status and made an Union Territory, ruled directly from Delhi.

Draconian law Armed Forces Special Powers Act) was introduced in which the security forces have unbridled rights to kill, maim, torture, molest, rape, kidnap, abduct and detain a Kashmiri indefinitely, all with impunity. This law contravenes article 21 of the constitution and the Supreme Court which is the guardian of the constitution has not taken cognizance of this breach.

Writers and journalists are being involved in false seditious cases, as they cry and write for freedom of the Kashmiri peoples.

Islamic Pakistan and the Hindu Indian state are appearing to be engaged in talks to settle the Kashmir imbroglio but both these states are not talking about the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people who apart from being deprived of democracy as their legislature has been dissolved, we daily hear of Kashmiri’s being shot dead but we never hear of any Kashmiri being produced before a court of law. Extra legal killings are the order of the day. Both these countries never go before Amnesty International or the UN Human Rights Commission to have these wrongs addressed. Both the countries love Kashmir but both do not love the people of Kashmir.  That is the problem and a pity. 

Journalist Without Borders based in New york must also investigate why these atrocities against journalist are taking place in Kashmir?
