Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is unfortunate that the main opposition leader of Russia is getting more life imprisonments which mean that Russia has become a totalitarian state.

The Hindu Indian state is also following in its footsteps as the Speaker of the House Mr. Om Parkash Birla is not keen to run the Parliament smoothly and continuously.

The Monsoon Session is a total washout.

We think the ruling party and Speaker Birla will have to pay a price for derailing democracy in the forthcoming Parliamentary elections, it’s results will show that the people want democracy and do not want obstacles put to be in the smooth functioning of the Parliament.

We also think that the rightwing, BJP-RSS government has taken a vow to undermine democracy as the Sikh Parliament, SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) which was constituted by in 1925 law, it’s elections are not being held for the last twelve years.

With these factors in mind our party and the Dal Khalsa will hold a big meeting on 14th August at Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib at 3pm at Ludhiana.
