Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that in this picture printed in The Tribune 10th June 2023 why is the army chief’s Gen. Manoj Pandey being shown in the background, whereas Mr. Rajnath Singh and Mr. Lloyd Austin are shown in the fore front.

Such imaging of the Army Chief demoralizes the rank and file of the armed forces. Henceforth, the Military Chief should be shown in the first rank of leaders so that the forces feel their chief has authority and command.

It is unfortunate that since 1947 the Hindutva regime that came into being has no military and martial tradition.
