Sutlej, a river of sorrow, heavily polluted from Communist China to Hindu India in its flow. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 30th May 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that we are only avoiding the inevitable about the pollution in the Sutlej.

We believe that there is an enrichment uranium plant in Tibet from where the Sutlej river begins to flow. Either the Hindu Indian state has and uranium enrichment plant on the river Sutlej when it enters Himachal Pradesh. At the Nangal fertilizer factory there is a heavy water plant which is used in the manufacture of nuclear explosives. Its effluent are sent into the river Sutlej. The industrial plants in Himachal Pradesh also dispatch their effluents into river Sutlej.

As the river flows through Malwa at Ludhiana very dangerous effluents flow into the Budha Nulla which later flows into the river Sutlej.

These are some of the major causes that make this river a dangerous health hazard, as a result causing cancer in the people who dwell in the Malwa reason.

After Hussainiwala the river flows into Islamic Pakistan, what we don’t know whether its pollutants cause this dangerous disease in that country.

So there is a need for Communist China, Hindu India and the Islamic Pakistan to sit together and find a solution.

Previously our party has been reporting these findings to the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) in Vienna, but sadly it has not taken note of this pollution and nuclear arms manufacturing along this sad river.
