Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that diplomats like Mr. Shyam Saran should not glorify war criminals like General K. Sunderji who had the audacity to have his army in-conjunction with the armies of the Soviets and the British and destroy the holiest Sikh shrines- The Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) in a barbaric action code named Operation Bluestar of 1984 which resulted in the Commission of the Crimes of genocide, memoricide, vandalism and ethnocide of the Sikh peoples.

A gentleman diplomat should refrain from bringing back memories of such dreaded Generals whose end was very painful and life ebbed out slowly, prolonging his pain and misery. He died a horrible death.
