Hindutva should not meddle with military and Sikh matters. Fanatics amongst majoritarians can never be appeased. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 23rd March 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Hindutva regime has learnt and un-learnt nothing from history. Does it recall why the mutiny of 1857 took place?

It should not interfere with the traditions and the other aspects of the armed forces like four year tenure of a soldier’s service. It should make up the widening gap in the shortage of military air crafts and other weaponry that as per Gen. Manoj Pande’s statement, 45% of it is obsolete or decayed. Soldiers cannot be fed on coarse grain. Their commanders should take a strong stand on matters concerning the welfare of the soldiery.

The Union Hindutva Government and its committed press and media should stop the tirade against Sikhs and release all Sikh held prisoners in the latest sweep against Sikhism.

It should not interfere with democratic processes and get the parliament going and hold elections to the Sikh Parliament the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) which have not been held for the last twelve years.

It should release Sikh prisoners languishing in jails for the last 32 years and all people associated with committing offences of sacrilege should be put behind bars. Transferring Sikh political prisoners on trumped up charges to Dibrugarh in Assam is a malicious and wicked action, especially by use of air craft of the Air Force which should not ever be used against the Sikhs or the citizens of this country.

Charges brought against the Sikhs are dependent on hearsay information by the intelligence services- R&AW, I.B, Military Intelligence and CID’s. The Supreme Court should act independently and suo motu ask the Central and Punjab Government to explain the charges framed against Sikh prisoners. The Sikhs will not yield by charging the emotions of the majoritarians by saying that Sikhs in Australia, UK and USA are holding peaceful demonstrations against Hindutva diplomatic missions. Western countries do not buy these senseless charges as they are in the know that the Hindutva Union Government is hunting down the Sikhs to appease the fanatics amongst the majoritarians, their press and media.

I have attended Parliament today and I was met by press correspondents who were charged emotionally, by the Sikh’s calling for Khalistan. I said the Sikh’s were correct legally and Constitutionally as article 51 of the Constitution states that the Hindu Indian state is committed to accept on UN laws, statutes, conventions and protocols and the right of self-determination is one such right. Moreover, the first Premier of the Hindu Indian state Jawaharlal Nehru went to the United Nations Security Council on 1st January 1948, seeking a plebiscite for Kashmir, the resolution for which the Security Council passed.

The Sikh hunt globally must end as Sikh’s have not taken to violence or destruction.

The Sikhs will not give in.
