Some questions to the Air Force. – Simranjit Singh Mann

Comments by Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that we are aware of the shortage of fighter jets and stealth jets, which perhaps will not be sufficient for a two front war.

We want a clarification whether the Russian S 400 missile will bring down Russian built Su-30, Su – 35, Su -57 with Communist China’s PLA as we think no country will build a weaponry that will destroy its own manufactured flying machines.

Secondly we want to know about enemy planes and missiles destroying the runways of strategic Air Force bases. How will Air Force planes and jets take off in such a scenario? We think vertical takeoff fighter jets would prove more beneficial as MiG 29’s vertical takeoff jets proved their worth in Ladakh in 2020 and perhaps 2022.

Briefly turning the armed forces as Hindutva brigades is a folly and detrimental to defence on the borders and the seas. A four year soldier as per the new Hindutva policy, without any history of military war fare, is a dangerous step and even there is no dissent from military men present or of yore.
