These are serious attacks and the investigating agencies are lackadaisical and Governments have been in connivance with the smugglers. The fault lies with the Punjab Police and the BSF. – Simranjit Singh Mann.

Comments by Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Union and state Governments must tell us why Police posts are being attacked by such weapons?
Large numbers of BSF forces have been withdrawn from the Pak- Punjab Border and posted for internal security in the Punjab. The Jurisdiction of the BSF has been extended from the Border to 50 Kms. into the Punjab state.
This has resulted in a lot of smuggling from the border into the hinterland of drugs and weapons. We can understand that there is a market for drugs which the Government is not keen to shut. But where are the weapons going? That is not understandable.
These practices started during the Badal-BJP regime in the Punjab. The MLA’s of the Border districts enriched themselves in conniving with these smugglers and made big money. Our Party reported all these illegal acts not only to the Punjab Badal BJP Government but also the successive Government of the Congress Party.
The copies of these reports have been sent to the NIA. But there has been no action as some big guns of the Badal-BJP-RSS, Congress are involved.
A Superintendent of Police was caught in a Government vehicle with a cook and a jeweler on the Border when militants attacked the Air Force base in Pathankot – but again no action was taken for what the Police officer was doing on the border during the ingress. He wasn’t punished for what he was doing but punished nevertheless for a sexual demeanour.
Our Party was anxious that the ISIS scalawags who massacred Sikh’s in Guru Har Rai Sahib’s Gurudwara in Kabul should be punished. The Union Government gave this case to the NIA, as then Afghanistan was under occupation of the USA. Here again no results were produced? Why? We think everyone will have to pull up their socks.
