Canada is an Independent sovereign state. Has no reason to listen to regular diktats of the Hindu Indian state. Simranjit Singh Mann.

The Tribune dated 04th November 2022.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that Canada is a sovereign and an independent state which does not believe in the authority of the Hindu Indian state.

Ever since 1947 when the Indian British Empire broke up and two big chunks of it were arbitrarily handed over to the Hindus and Muslims, the former got the state of India and the latter the state of Pakistan. The third legal claimant the Sikhs were left high and dry without being given their historic and treaty of 1849 assurances of a separate sovereign state.

The wily Hindu leadership of Gandhi and Nehru promised the Sikh leadership that if the Sikhs fell in line with the Hindu claim of a sovereign state, the Sikhs as Nehru promised would be given a state where they could feel the air of freedom due to them. But the Hindu leaders reneged on their promises and the Sikh leadership felt foolish and let down by accepting such assurances. Since then the Sikhs have remained outside the main stream of Hindu Indian politics. Today there is no Sikh Union Minister in the Narinder Modi Cabinet with an important portfolio like-Defence, Foreign Affairs, Home and Finance, one of which were always given to a Sikh. Since 1947 and specifically in 1984 the Sikhs have suffered the abominable crimes of genocide, memoricide, vandalism and ethnocide at the hands of the Hindu majoritarians, which no one can refute.

Therefore, to listen to regular diktats of the Hindu Indian Government to Canada, a country that follows the rule of law, Principles of Natural Justice, follows the International law, respects the UN treaties, protocols, covenants and conventions on Human Rights, some of them being:

1. 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
2. 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees.
3. 1954 Convention relating to Status of Stateless Persons.
4. 1960 Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples.
5. 1965 International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
6. 1966 Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
7. 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees. It is because there are still 30,000 Sikh Stateless refugees in Kashmir since 1947.
8. 1972 Treaty on the Limitation of Anti-Ballistic Missile System.
9. 1972 Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. If this Convention had been followed, neither the Darbar Sahib, the Golden Temple would not have been reduced to rubble nor the Babri Masjid in 1992.
10. 1984 Convention against Torture and other Cruel Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
11. 1984 Safeguard and guaranteeing protection of the Rights of those facing the death penalty.
12. 1995 Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.
13. 1996 Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
14. 1997 Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of anti-Personnel Mines and their Destruction (the Ottawa Convention on the abolition of landmines).
15. 2001 Rome Statute, by virtue of which the International Criminal Court has been set up at The Hague.
16. 2010 The Convention on Cluster Munitions prohibits all use, stockpiling, production and transfer of Cluster Munitions.

While the Hindu Indian state respects none of these and also stands in defiance of the UN Security Council Resolution of 1948 which orders a plebiscite to be held in Kashmir. It should be reminded that it was the independent Union Government of Jawhar Lal Nehru who took the case for a plebiscite for Kashmir to the UN on 01st January 1948. Suffice it to say that the Hindu Indian state has not honoured its obligations to International law and Human Rights, has no right to lecture Canada on how to follow its domestic policy and continuously keep the Canadian Sikhs under stress and strain, not allowing them to enjoy the fruits of freedom and liberty where they have sought to make their homes and country-Canada and other lands.
