Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that there is poverty, hunger, joblessness, leaks in the houses of the poor, no nutritive food for children, no cooking gas, no kerosene stoves, high inflation, no widow, old-age and handicap pensions, no education, no clothing for the poor but The Tribune wants to help Mr. Anurag Thakur and Madam Kangna and thus keep them in the news.

The Editor of the Tribune Mr. Ramachandran should stay with me during the duration of the Parliamentary poll and see for himself the poverty conditions in the rural areas of my Sangrur Constituency. Mr. Thakuar and Madam Kangna would also be welcome to see the reality on the ground.
