Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Badal’s and the Abdullah’s have always enjoyed a very good relationship with the BJP-RSS extremists. Both families have held high posts in the Centre and their respective states. Even now there are rumours that the Badal’s and the BJP-RSS would fight the forthcoming election together, at the cost of Sikh Nationalism and the farmers struggle. Their closeness and intimacy with the BJP-RSS has always worried Sikh and Kashmiri nationalists. We never know when they will embrace one another, causing mistrust amongst Sikhs and Muslims.
