Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is a serious economic offence in which the environment will be hurt and the next harvest will suffer huge losses in grain which will be detrimental as due to the Russian-Ukraine war the steeps of Europe which produced the maximum grain and oil seeds, they will not be available.
Therefore, the guilty officials must suffer severe punishments as they have hit the economy below the belt.
