Communist China and the Hindu Indian state must maintain peace. Scuffles in Japanese waters and assassinations in Canada are against International law. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.
The Tribune dated 19th November 2023.
Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that thinks that such an incident should have not taken place after the friendly visit of Prime Minister of Australia to Communist China and more so after the Biden-Xi talks in San Francisco.
The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) stands for peace internally and externally and condemns all incidents that violate a country’s sovereignty such as the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Canada.
Moreover, we feel alarmed that the External Affairs Minister Mr. Jaishankar spending five whole days to tell the British Government to stop and crackdown hard on the right to freedom of speech and expression, a right that the British won during the Magna Carta.
Though the Sikhs exercise no sovereign power, yet they would know that such a venture on the part of Mr. Jaishankar and the backing of the Union BJP-RSS Government would not succeed and he would just face a cul-de-sac.
We think the President Her Excellency Madam Droupadi Murmu would use her Constitutional prerogative and advice and warn her government not to take such irrational steps that would disturb peace in the Indian sub-continent and violate International law and hence International peace.
Such incidents are akin to what the Communist Chinese warship did in Japanese waters against the Australian frogmen.
Sikhs want peace and their democratic and Human Rights to be preserved as per the UN Charter on Human Rights.
We do hope the President will act.
