A Hindutva editorial to contest stricture of the High Court which declares ethnic cleansing in Haryana. Simranjit Singh Mann Fatehgarh Sahib

The Tribune dated 11th August 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is a planted editorial by the rightwing Tribune as it wants to contest the strictures passed on the Haryana and Union Governments which said that ethnic cleansing had taken place in Gurugram and Nuh.

Obviously these strictures have hurt the guardians of Hindutva and the extremist fringe in it and so The Tribune has come out with a saviour, but it will have no effect as a drowning man clings to a straw. The Tribune stands on the side of the Hindutva ideology. This is no secret now.

An English phrase states that a bad carpenter always blames his tools. Why bring Islamic Pakistan into the crime of ethnic cleansing done by THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State).

Even in Kashmir the Hindu Indian state blames Islamic Pakistan for all the ills but it has dissolved the legislature, imposed the barbaric law AFSPA (Armed Forces Special Powers Act) which gives a free hand to the security forces to kill, maim, kidnap, abduct, murder, rape, molest, torture, detain any person for an endless time, with impunity.

This law contravenes Article 21 of the Constitution which states that no person can be deprived of his life and liberty without following the procedure laid down by law. Yet the Supreme Court which is the guardian of the Constitution is not willing to strike this inhuman law and declare it ultra vires the Constitution.

A new factor has been introduced into the Kashmir imbroglio now with the arrest of an Afghan belonging to Al-Badr-Group, meaning Afghanistan has also entered the fray which indicates a more troubled Kashmir.

If after the creation of the Hindu Indian state in 1947, if Islamic Pakistan is still interfering as indicated by The Tribune editorial, it shows that the Hindu Indian state has failed to create a sprit of nationalism. For this it is not only the state, but also The Tribune, where an ethnic cleansing of a minority has taken place. The Tribune is widely read in Haryana and the suburbs of Delhi.
