Total negligence of the army commanders. Simranjit Singh

The Tribune dated 26th April 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) asks why this vehicle was not travelling in a convoy. Why was the rout not lined at intervals with security guards? Henceforth motorcycle out riders must escort these convoys and keep a distance of one hundred meters between them.

Now we present our comments on the senseless massacre of Sikh troops below:

Press statement of Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament,

Dated 21st April 2023 Camp Jalandhar,

According to the Geneva Conventions of War to which the Hindu Indian state is a signatory, Sikh troops cannot be sent into areas where there is internal strife.

As the Hindu Indian state has not made a declaration of war in Jammu and Kashmir, the Sikh Soldiers who have lost there lives are against these principles of war.

As such, the Hindu Indian state owes an explanation to the Sikh’s as to why the Sikh troops were sent in to an area of internal strife?

Our party states that all Sikh warriors who have lost their lives, their families should compensated by giving each family an award Rs.15 crore each as a precedent of the Kargil war where each soldier who gave his life, his family was compensated with the grant of petrol-diesel station of a Gas Agency.

This largess should also be extended to these warriors families.

The Children who have lost their warrior parents should be educated at state cost in Army Public Schools at Nabha or Kapurthala. This is the least the Union Government can do to keep the morale of its soldiery in ascending spirits.

The SGPC must make arrangements for their respective Bhogs at their native places.
