Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is the Hindutva way that Bibi Nupur Sharma as got an arms license, after she has committed acts of blasphemy and sacrilege of the Islamic faith.

I had also applied for an arms license in the Union Home Ministry, but a sorrowful reply came from the Ministry stating that I had two arms licenses and could not receive another arms license, though I live in a border state and the Army Chief states that like Kashmir, Punjab is also getting infiltrated by militants.

I also live in a village. In the villages like in the towns there is no police patrolling and we villagers have to rely on our own defences. In periods of strife we have to defend our selves against the aggressors.

We hope the Union Home Ministry will ponder over giving true arms licenses demanders and fake ones like Bibi Sharma would be discouraged.

Since 1984 I have a feeling that the Sikhs are suspected by the majoritarians. As such all humanitarian bodies must see through this fear in Sikhs and bring it forth in their analysis reports.
