Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that POK came into being in 1947 when the British divided their Indian colony into Pakistan for the Muslims and India for the Hindus.

But Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Premier Modi must explain that when the British handed Hindu India the whole of Ladakh, which was annexed by the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) in 1834.

Since then the Hindutva leaders have given away 39,000 sq kms of Ladakh territory to Communist China in 1962 and another 8000 sq kms of Ladakh territory to Communist China in 2020 & 2022.

In 1963 the Hindu state gave away Shaksgam Valley of Kashmir to the Chinese.

Therefore, the Hindutva leaders should inculcate the policy of revanchism before boasting about POK which along with the whole of Kashmir was conquered by the Lahore Darbar in 1819. It was then a province of Afghanistan and this province was wrested by the Sikh Empire.

With the defeatist and unmilitary like policy of recruiting Agniveer’s, and ordering Navy Officers to wear Kurta Pyjama and Chappals to the Mess is another flaw in the thinking of the now upstart Hindutva leadership. The professionalism will suffer and they must await more defeats.

Besides these weaknesses and shortcomings, the Defence Minister must explain how he will take POK?
