Press statement of S. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament, President Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) dated 18th November 2023.

Jawans and Kissans should be better served by the Union Government and the Supreme Court than registering criminal cases against them. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the government is not on the right path by threatening the Deputy Commissioners, the Police and the farmers that criminal action will be taken against them for burning the stubble after the paddy harvest.

The government of the Punjab & the Union Government and the Supreme Court must understand that Punjab & Haryana are the granaries of the Indian sub-continent and the Central Government has not provided all the facilities to the farmers to retain the stubble and turn it into bales.

All the wealth of the Hindu Indian state is being spent on Delhi, which is good but what about making the holy city of Amritsar as good as Delhi, after all it is the spiritual seat of Sikhism.

The granary that our party mentions is like the Steppes of Europe where for the last two years a war is being fought by Ukraine and Russia and it is unfortunate that the Hindu Indian state is supporting the aggression of Russia as we want the Steppes of Europe which produce the maximum grain, pulses and oil-seeds for the consumption of the poorer people of Africa, Asia and perhaps Latin in America.

This year because of the war no grain or pulses have been sown in the Steppes, as a result the poorer countries are going to face acute shortage of grain, resulting in deaths by hunger. As it is in the Indian sub-continent the masses are not getting nutritive food.

Therefore, any action against the Deputy Commissioners, the Police and the farmers will amount to grave persecution to that class of people who feed the whole of the Indian sub-continent.

Therefore, the Union Government, Supreme Court and the Punjab Government must look into the needs and necessities of the farmers and the land labourers before criminal action is taken against these great producers of grain and pulses.

In the Union Cabinet there is no renowned farmer in the post of a Cabinet Minister or a Sikh with a full Cabinet Minister’s rank.

Now regarding the recruitment into the military, by experience our party warns that a four year term of a soldier in service is insufficient, as the soldier must become physically fit, learn all the technical trades, plus develop a cunning, anticipation and intuition.

Since the Hindutva has never ruled over a sovereign state in its history, save the Kingdom of Ayodhya, which is mythical, therefore it cannot understand the Jawan and the Kissan.

It was only Lal Bahadur Shastri who by the grace of God came to know that the Jawan and the Kissan are the backbones of the state. After him there has been no Prime Minister who has had or been granted such wisdom.
