Why Westland Agusta Helicopter deal criminals have not been put to trial? This is a UAPA case. Simranjit Singh Mann.

The Tribune dated 04th October 2022.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is very good that after a long time the Hindu Indian state has acquired helicopters that can go up to the great heights of the Himalya’s, where the troops are posted.

But our party wants to know what has happened to the Westland Agusta Helicopter deal in which the highest officials of the land, had taken bribes.

What has happened to this important case as the scalawags have not been put to trial?

The important criminals involved in this deal were Mr. Narayanan whose last post was Governor of West Bengal and he had also been the head of the Intelligence Bureau. The other high dignitary was the head of the Special Protection Group and there was Mr. Brajesh Mishra, Secretary to former Premier Vajpayee, whose female relative is married to a person in Italy. The then Defence Secretary Shashikant Shrama was also one of the accused amongst 33 others.

Since the BJP-RSS states that it has zero sympathy for the corrupt, we want to know why the trial of this case is not taking place?

These officials were the highest officers of the time and had no respect for their country’s honour, safety and protection. We do not understand why these corrupt officials are being protected? Is it because they all belong to the majoritarians?
