Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that our party opposes and is against hate crime in THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) and Canada.

Back home here we must state that hate crime against Muslims and minorities is overlooked in the Hindu Indian state, as a lady journalist on Television denigrated Prophet Mohammad and no criminal action has been taken against the lady.

However, we do not understand why the word referendum raises the hackles of the majoritarians and their Union Government?

The Hindu Indian state declares itself as the biggest democracy in the world. The word referendum like plebiscite and elections is merely an instrument of democracy. Therefore, the Foreign Office in Delhi should have no objection to this word if it is used in Canada or elsewhere.

Earlier in 1948 the UNSC passed a resolution for a plebiscite in Kashmir, which the Hindu Indian state has opposed from the beginning though Nehru took the Kashmir dispute to The United Nations.

Through such instruments we can peacefully gauge the mind of the people and that is what democracy is about.

We suggest the Hindu Indian state puts the words referendum, plebiscite and elections into its vocabulary as the Sikh’s mind because elections to their Parliament the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) have not been held for the last eleven years and the Sikhs are crying for democracy, a demand they will project tomorrow on 25th September 2022 in front of the UN General Assembly tomorrow at New York, USA.
