Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the proficiency of the SPG should be taken with a pinch of salt and we cannot count on its efficiency in a blood torn Kashmir.

The best protection for the Prime Minister is not to depend on the deployment of the SPG but he must prevent discord and give up the treacherous and murderous policy of Hindutva. In that lies his safety and not the SPG.
