Secular credentials of the Hindu Indian state are in suspect. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 14th October 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is good Premier Narendra Modi has called for peace. But charity begins at home. He must stop his National Security Advisor Mr. Ajit Doval, the Chief’s of Intelligence Bureau, R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing), Military Intelligence and Special Group from assassinating Sikhs abroad in Canada, UK, Islamic Pakistan and within this country in Haryana and the Punjab.

It would be wise for the Premier to adopt democratic and Parliamentary methods of governance. As such the National Security Advisor and the Intelligence Chief’s must be made responsible and accountable to Parliament. Their vast unaccounted secret service funds must be audited.

The religious freedom of Sikhs must be restored as elections to their SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) have not been held for the last thirteen years.

Religious freedom for the Muslims in a secular state must be ensured and the fact that the Jamia Masjid in Srinagar was locked by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday the 13th October 2023 and the Muslims were not allowed to pray on Friday is a serious breach of faith and violation of the secular credentials of the Hindu Indian state.

In 2019 the BJP-RSS made a issue of surgical strikes into Islamic Pakistan and bombardment by the Air Force Mirage jets of Balakot where the Hindu state said terrorists were being trained. No such evidence was found subsequent to these air strikes.

The BJP-RSS made these surgical strikes against Islamic Pakistan a religious issue and polarised the Hindu majority to vote for the BJP-RSS in the Parliamentary elections that year in 2024.

Now by assassinating Sikhs here and abroad the BJP-RSS again wants to polarise the majoritarian voter that it can strike Sikhs in foreign countries with deadly intent and impunity.

But crying wolf over and over again will not help these forces of Hindutva in the 2024 Parliamentary elections.
