President Xi Jinping refused talks with Premier Modi. A perfunctory meeting with South African President Ramaphosa present, cannot be called a meeting or diplomatic breakthrough regarding Ladakh stalemate. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 25th August 2023.

Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that as our party analyzed about the South African talks between President Xi Jinping and Premier Narendera Modi, the end result has been that there were no talks formally in a drawing room but just for the sake of publicity Premier Modi was seen in a threesome group of Mr. Jinping, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Premier Modi himself.

This picture has been brought out by the novice to propagandise that Mr. Modi met Mr. Jinping.

The withdrawal of forces from Ladakh is a private and not a public matter and had real talks taken place, we would have seen Mr. Jinping and Mr. Modi sitting alone without the South African President Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa. Of course, two interpreters would have been seen in the picture.

How can serious talks take place while leaders are walking to be seated on their particular seats at the BRICS meeting?

Therefore, this is merely of false propaganda news put in by the pro-Hindutva newspaper The Tribune.  The fact is that the External Affairs Ministry failed to arrange a dignified private meeting between the Han and Hindutva leaders.

The fact is that Communist China and President Xi Jinping are riled over the closeness of the Hindu Indian state with the West and exercises like QUAD.

In our opinion there is no option but for the Hindu Indian troops to break the stalemate in Galwan, Depsang, Charding Nullah Near Demchok where Communist China’s PLA is blocking Hindu Indian patrols.

We think it is now time to break this stalemate and the Hindu Indian patrols should break through the blockade or bypass the stationary PLA blockades and carry on with their patrols to the last claims of Hindu Indian territory previously as annexed by the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) in 1834.

We think that Premier Modi has been offended by President Xi Jinping by not sharing a private drawing room talk and whatever superficial publicity has been given, it cannot befool the Sikh peoples.

If the Hindu Indian state has any pride and self respect, this fiasco, the snub of President Jinping should be treated like the Ems Telegram. What ho Mr. S. Jaishankar.
