Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the author Mr. G Parthasarathy takes great pride in referring to himself as the Vice Chancellor Jammu Central University & Former High Commissioner to Pakistan.

But his article sheds no light on the Internal and External Affairs of Islamic Pakistan, though Mr. Parthasarathy lives on the Indo-Pak border.

This is merely a run of the mill article. There is no light on the new Army General Munir. How he has commanded his corps in the past and what are his thoughts on democracy and safeguard of human rights. All Mr. Parthasarathy states is that General Munir is the pick of former General Qamar Javed Bajwa. We know that already.

Mr. Parthasarathy states that Islamic Pakistan has delivered weaponry to Ukraine, whereas its greatest ally Communist China is the best chum of Russia. What is the reaction of Communist China to this largesse of Pakistan to Ukraine?

A rapprochement between Communist China and the USA appears to be on the anvil. Is it possible that Islamic Pakistan has repeated history as during the cold war it was Secretary of State Kissinger who took off from Peshwar to open up friendly relations with Communist China, that eventually led to the downfall of the Soviet Empire?

Russia has been supplying weaponry to Islamic Pakistan much to the horror of the Hindu Indian state. What will become of this the wise Mr. Pathasarthy who can read the tea leaves of International politics, while perched a few miles from Pakistan must tell us and not write such simplistic articles which Sikhs read and The Tribune pays a big hefty sum for such a run of the mill articles.
