Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that we don’t think we should burn such effigies of Ravana as it hurts the religious feelings of a large segment of our peoples.

When we talk of the Sunatan Dharam we are told it also includes the Manusmiriti Granth which is provocative to millions of our citizens.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who support Sunatan Dharam must explain this religious phenomenon as article 14 of the Constitution states that all are equal before the law.

What does The Tribune think of equality before the law since it prefixes and suffixes the terrible word terrorist to every Sikh name? It is only a strong secular opinion that can tame such racists and fanatics.
