Responsibility and accountability to Parliament must not escape the attention of Parliament. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.

The Tribune dated 28th August 2023.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this is a good, in depth article by Mr. KP Nayar.

All is very well to expand BRICS but decisions should have been taken in consultation with Parliament.

After all, all leaps in Foreign Policy must be debated democratically before jumps into the unknown territories by the Prime Minister and his External Affairs Minister.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) does not approve of Suo-moto decisions in Foreign Policy that effects the Internal politics of the country.

Our party excepts that the Executive must be responsible to the Parliament and decisions like using force against Sikhs abroad and internally must be debated, cleared and then executed.

We disapprove of the killings or assassinations of Deep Singh Sidhu, Subhdeep Singh Sidhu Moosewala, Ripudaman Singh Malik, Paramjit Singh Panjwar, Avtar Singh Khanda and Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

During the G-20 meeting schedule for 8th, 9th and 10th September in Delhi, we except the Prime Minister’s of Canada, and Britain, who will be in attendance to give us answers to such killings in their respective countries.

As far as Islamic Pakistan is concerned, which will not be attending the G-20 meeting in Delhi, we ask separately about the assassination of Paramjit Singh Panjwar in Lahore, Islamic Pakistan.

Though the Sikhs are a stateless people at this juncture of their history, we nevertheless, expect replies and reasons for such assassinations of upcoming young Sikh political leaders abroad and here.
