Mr. Ribeiro is full of hatred for Sikh’s and Muslims. But his heart bleeds for Christianity. – Simranjit Singh Mānn

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that wearing the Hijab irks none. If the Muslims wear the Hijab to provoke the forces of Hindutva we think this defiance is called for in the face of majoritarian bigotry.

Mr. Julio Ribeiro has taken on the role of a theologian. We have no objection but he must be aware of Islam, its religion, culture, customs and way of life. We do not think it harms the wearing of the Hijab to the Sikh’s. The picture below will show it:

Mr. Ribeiro talks of the French objections as he says, because the French – “long – established principle of separating the Church from state”. We ask Mr. Ribeiro why the French object to the Sikh’s wearing their traditional headgear the Turban. The French have been and are colonists and in their French colonies their subjugated citizens also wore or wear the Turban.

Since Mr. Ribeiro is a practicing Christian we would ask if the French separate the Church from the state, why all French politicians and civil servants wear the neck Tie. Does not the Tie signify the crucifixion of Jesus Christ? Has the gangster fighting super cop of Bombay ever thought about his own divinity?

Then Mr. Ribeiro took on the job of fighting the Sikh’s and came to the Punjab. He coined the phrase – Bullet for Bullet. Went hunting along with his Deputy Home Minister Kamaljeet Singh on a helicopter in the Mand area of the Punjab for Sikh freedom fighters. He ordered that the Sikh’s must be eliminated in extra judicial encounters.

Mr. Ribeiro carries on to say that the favourable Union Government posted him to Romania as ambassador, where he says he observed Muslim women from Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Bangladesh and Pakistan who did not where the Hijab. We presume that he spent his diplomatic career just observing Muslim women because the Sikh’s he had had killed in fake encounters, their surviving lot were fast on his heels. We believe therefore he spent most of his period as ambassador locked up in his home guarded by the Romanian Security Forces.

We also know that when the forces of Hindutva kill and murder Christian priests, (recall the burning of an Australian Missionary and his sons by Hindu fanatics in Orissa) rape Christian nuns and destroy Churches, then the Christianity in Mr. Ribeiro really hurts. It is brought to public notice.

Our advice would be that after taking on the Sikh’s don’t ever take on the Muslims. He must as an IPS officer read the Constitution which allows religious freedom to all including the Christians. We hope he will alter his mind about the Church and the state regarding France and support the wearing of the Sikh headgear the Turban as it does not come in the way of the French state. For his knowledge Winston Churchill supported the wearing of the Turban for Sikh soldiers, instead of donning the helmet in World War II. The French should pay reverence to the Sikh soldiers who wearing the Turban liberated France in World War I and World War II and who lie buried in Commonwealth Cemeteries all over Europe.

Cool down the self-styled theologian and Bombay gang fighter Mr. Ribeiro. We are sure his family is quite fed up with his state protected bravado.
