Comments by Emaan Singh Mann:- The Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister has today condemned the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee), Akali Dal as being the reason for delay to the Government Medical College construction. This is the pot calling the kettle black. The Government of Punjab is responsible for holding elections to the section 87 Gurdwara\u2019s under the Sikh Gurdwara Act 1925 which it has neglected to do for the last 18 years, keeping a corrupt Akali Leadership in-charge of Sikh Gurdwara\u2019s.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This corrupt leadership is responsible for backing the Dera Sacha Sauda Sadh who has been convicted of murder and rape and is to be investigated for the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib as well as the Maur bomb blast. Apart for this the SGPC (Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee) has been responsible for the loss of 328 saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which nor the SGPC nor the Govt. of Punjab has been able to locate. It is a matter of grave law an order disruption, as in the case of desecration at Burj Jawhar Singh Wala and Bargari that these saroops of Guru Granth Sahib are unaccounted for and missing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is appalling that even though the Aam Adami Party is in power in two states and has a number of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Members it is not pressing for the elections of the SGPC in Parliament as per the Sikh Gurdwara Act 1925 which requires these to be held every five years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If democratic functioning of the Sikhs, as per the Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1925, is up held, which is in the hands of the Govt. of Punjab and Union Home Ministry, the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister would not have any reason to blame the Hon\u2019ble Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. The current situation of having a non functioning SGPC is result of S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, and Aam Adami Party not full filling their duty towards the Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1925, and the Constitution of the India.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
