Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that in this picture at the residence of the French President \u2013 Elysee Palace we see the picture of Premier Nerandra Modi flanked by President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Madame Brigitte Macron.
The French have a subtle way of telling a single dignitary on an official visit to France that the dignitary must be accompanied by his wedded wife as President Macron and Madame Macron live together at the official residence of the French President \u2013 Elysee Palace.
The French are very proper in their etiquettes and presume that the head of a state Government visiting France without his wife is looking for a companion.
Our Party has requested that as per the Sikh tenants Premier Modi must live with his wife at 7, Race Couse Road, Delhi. We hope for the sake of \u201cgrist\u201d as the Sikh\u2019s call it, Premier Modi must now begin to live with his wife who must accompany him on foreign tours as did the wife of his predecessor Sardar Manmohan Singh.
Our Party would have hoped that the Babu\u2019s in his Foreign Ministry must have briefed Mr. Modi before, on the French way of life.
But it would suffice to say that the Lahore Darbar(Sikh Empire 1799-1849) established diplomatic relations with France in 1833 when Emperor Luis Philippe ruled France and Maharaja Ranjit Singh the Lahore Darbar.
Sikh\u2019s have known the French longer than the Hindu\u2019s who gained a state only in 1947.
Now the Sikh\u2019s are not seen in Modi\u2019s cabinet, or as judges in the Supreme Court, or Chief Justices of High Courts or Secretaries to the Union Government or as Governors of states or Union Territories or as Army Commanders. They have now become rare but they refuse to be obliterated by the radicalised BJP – RSS ruled state. They are making their mark in foreign lands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
