Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that this step smacks of vandalism by the SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee) as it has demolished many sacred historic buildings of the Sikhs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last one on its demolition agenda was the sacred Deody of the Darbar Sahib at Taran Taran.
The SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee) gave written orders to Baba Jagtar Singh a person engaged in raising precious Sikh historic buildings to the ground to destroy this Deoidi In this incident he used bulldozers to demolish the historic Deodi of Darbar Sahib Taran Taran which was personally built by the grandson of Maharaja Ranjit Singh\u2019s \u2013 Kawar Naunehal Singh.
We think the French thinker Voltaire rightly said God help us from our friends, we can take care of our enemies ourselves.
The SGPC (Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee) now is a lame duck parliament of the Sikhs as the BJP \u2013RSS Union Government refuses to hold elections to this House though elections must be held after every 5 years to this body, which came into being in 1925 by an act of law.
The minorities, especially the Sikhs are being denied their right to democracy for the last eleven years. This is the miserable plight of the Sikhs who live under a ruthless regime of the majortarians.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
