Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that our party has no comments on Mr. Kwatra\u2019s efficiency, hard work and integrity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the fact is that giving extensions to officers after they have retired mars the chances of other officer who have striven for over 35 years to reach the top.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is always wise to give an officer a post retirement sinecure like a Governor or a Member The National Human Rights Commission.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such extensions in service demoralize the rank and file of a service, whereby discontent and inefficiencies creep in.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foreign Office is an important branch of the Union Government and it must be run on merit as the Hindu state has strong nuclear armed adversaries on its borders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, our party is not critical on the extension give in to Mr. Kwatra what we are commenting on is the principle of such extensions in service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
