Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that there is a difference between the ruling Hindu class and the subjugated Sikhs.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1984 I resigned from the Indian Police Service in protest of Operation Bluestar of 1984 when the holiest Sikh shrine Darbar Sahib (Golden temple) was attacked by three nuclear armed states- Soviet Union, Britain and the Hindu Indian state. The defenders of the holy shrine Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala, General Subegh Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh and Bhai Thara Singh showed exemplary bravery and defended the Darbar Sahib for 72 hours against this International armed force. The wicked forces could only enter the holy premises when all the leaders had gained martyrdom. Women, Children and the elderly were killed by the thousands with tank, artillery, mortar, special forces and helicopter gunship\u2019s. No Sikh surrendered but died defending the holy shrine.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having seen this brutality and savagery of the Hindu Indian state I resigned as a Senior Indian Police Service Officer. My resignation was accepted immediately and a country wide hunt was launched against me. I fled and was captured on the Indo-Nepal border, ill-treated and tortured and thrown into a prison, where I was tortured and interrogated. After my release in 1989 I was examined by the well known kidney specialist of the PGI Chandigarh who on scientific examination found that one of my kidney was smaller than the other, one tactical was smaller than the other and my scrotum had got loose. My eye sight also was diminished as bright search lights were focused on them. I was given electric shocks by a Russian specialist, as in that period of time the Hindu state and the Russian state were as thick as thieves.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now on the other hand the difference between a Hindu when he resigns like the Punjab Governor Banwarilal Prohit. His resignation has not been accepted by the Union Government and now he is off preparing himself for a tour of the border districts of the Punjab, still exercising his authority as the Governor of the Punjab.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you may see the difference between the fate of a Sikh and a Hindu.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other day (10th February 2024) in the town of Haldwani in Uttrakhand state the state authorities bucked up by the Hindu citizens destroyed an Islamic mosque and an Islamic Madrassa (school). In 1992 the forces of Hindutva brought down the historic Islamic Babri Masjid and now a Hindu temple has been built over it. In the near future the Islamic Mosques at Banaras and Mathura are in extreme danger of being pulled down and Hindu temples constructed over these Islamic shrines.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another Muslim who has reached the ripe age of 85 years and has been the Chief politician of Jammu & Kashmir Mr. Farooq Abdullah is being hounded by the Enforcement Department to appear before it in Delhi whereas Mr. Farooq Abdullah lives some 600 kms away from Delhi in Srinagar.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The farmers of the Punjab and Haryana are in great financial distress and they have organized a long march to Delhi. But the BJP-RSS Union and Haryana Governments have put up concrete barriers on all roads going to Delhi from the Punjab. The farmers demand that the MSP should be given a legal status, their debts should be scrapped, and the Swaminathan Report be implemented. These are reasonable demands by the farmers, yet the Union BJP-RSS Government of Premier Modi is stopping them at every stage on their long march, splashing them with cold water through cannons, tear gassing them and treating them as aliens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our party recently saw a French farmers march in Paris where the Administration treated the farmers with due respect and was happy and keen to listen to their grievances and the hope is that their complains would be addressed in a civilized and cultured manner.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope we have briefly summed up the present upheaval in the Punjab and Haryana. On 16th February 2024 the farmer bodies have given a call for a total \u2018Bandh\u2019 and we ask all our loyal countrymen to support it in rural and urban areas.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to ask the Prime Minister that if the farmers give a call for not sowing their paddy crop and other crops in late June this year, what would be the reaction of the Hindutva Modi Government? It must also be seen that the steppes of Europe are the main grain growing areas. These steppes have become the battle field between Russia and Ukraine. As a result, no grain was grown in the sowing season last year and there will no harvest of grain this year.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
