Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that all these assets belong to the Sikh peoples as they are the legal inheritors of the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the Kohinoor in possession of the British belongs to the Sikh peoples. It was thieved from the Treasury of the Lahore Darbar by Lord Dalhousie.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the Anglo-Sikh treaty of 1849 the British had stated that after Maharaja Dalip Singh becomes a major, Sikh sovereignty would be restored.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the British cheated the Sikhs as per the terms of this Treaty, it was incumbent on them to restore the Sikh sovereignty when they gave up their British-India colony in 1947. They again did not fulfil the treaty terms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presently the Sikh sovereignty lies in the Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) at Amritsar. Therefore, it is incumbent that this large some of money of the Lahore Darbar should be deposited in the Toshakhana of Darbar Sahib.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hindu India has no claim to the legacy of the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As such the Sikhs must get together to see that all assets of the Lahore Darbar are restored to the Darbar Sahib.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My father Lt. Col. S.B.S. Joginder Singh Mann, M.B.E. had written an article on giving Darbar Sahib, Amritsar the Vatican sovereign status which we reproduce below:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lt. Col. S.B.S. Joginder Singh Mann M.B.E. was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly at Lahore in 1937. In 1947 he served as a Cabinet Minister of Punjab. Later he was elected as a Member of Parliament. He served as the Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. He served as the Chairman of the Hemkunt Sahib Trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have informed the Swiss Ambassador in Delhi, Union Minister S. Hardeep Singh Puri and the Author Ashok Tandon respectively.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:- The Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) after 1947 when the British gave away the country to Muslims who got Pakistan and the Hindus who got India, both could not keep the Sikh Empire together. The Lahore Darbar annexed Kashmir in 1819 from Afghanistan, of which it was a province and Ladakh was annexed in 1834. As such both these countries have no claims to the legacy of the Lahore Darbar. Sikhs all over the world must claim their rightful legacy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
