Our party is of the view that this is a very jingoistic article. The author does not realise we Sikh\u2019s live on the edge of three nuclear armed powers, those being Hindu India, Communist China and Islamic Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If strikes not diplomacy are Hindutva\u2019s weapons, then it would mean the complete and total annihilation of the Sikh race and the Punjabi peoples.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The author lives on the edge of this civilisation, and therefore has the audacity to suggest such strikes, which would result in the victory of the Hindutva forces winning the 2024 Parliamentary polls next year in 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately our party does not buy such self destructive proposals. we stand for peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The author forgets to write that when on 20th April 2023, 5 soldiers of the Sikh regiment lost their lives in Jammu near the (LOC) they were sent in a lone vehicle knowing fully well that earlier on this road there had been fatal attacks on the army personnel.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask why these soldiers were not sent in a convoy, why the road was mot sanitised, ambushes not laid and why the IB and military intelligence did not do their findings about the future safety of a lonely vehicle travelling on this ill- fated road?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why the Corp Commander, Div. Commander, Brigade Commander and Unit Commander allowed a single vehicle to travel without an escort ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fault lies with the chain of Command and not the perpetrators whose job was to create havoc within the ranks of the armed forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When one knows ones enemy and then to put trust in the adversary is a folly which demands an investigation into the negligence of the army commanders and the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, who has his other sources of information from his CID, and revenue service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We think this whole chain of command is responsible for this catastrophe and under the circumstances they must all pay for the failure.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strikes into Islamic Pakistan is not the answer when the fault lies within. The Chief the Northern Command and the Lt Governor must be made answerable and accountable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otherwise the author Manoj Joshi has written a very good learned book on the Indo- China conflict. But he has not mentioned that the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) annexed Ladakh in 1834, which he should have done to make the case stronger.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
