But still our people are poverty stricken.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>We are in the harvesting season. Wheat is being harvested largely by big Combines. As the Combines move, we see poor village women walking behind them. From their necks hang cotton bags.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Walking behind the Combines we see them picking up ears of wheat which the Combine throws out. Even little children collect these ears. With this collection of ears of wheat the poor try and meet their grain consumption for the year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Since they have no thrashing machines to separate the wheat seed from the hay, they go to the nearest road where there is enough motor vehicle traffic. The ears of wheat they have collected, they put it on small heaps expecting the motorised traffic to run over these heaps, whereby the wheat is winnowed. This is how they make both ends meet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>Below is a picture of the heap of wheat, lying on the road, which will be winnowed when motor tyres run over it.
