Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that The Tribune describes the columnist P. Stobdan, as a Strategic Affairs Expert, but un-fortunately in describing Ladakh he mentions the Mugal Emperor Aurangzeb, whose historical times are not mentioned in his territorial aggrandisement of Ladakh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what is a historical fact is that the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849) annexed Ladakh in 1834 and made it an integral part of the Sikh Empire. Maharaja Ranjit Singh wanted his General Zorawar Singh to carry out a campaign further north of Ladakh but was ordered by the Lahore Darbar to hold on as the British had reinforced their troops on the left bank of the river Sutlej, which was the boundary between the Lahore Darbar and the British Indian Empire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These corrections have to be made time an again as the columnists do not read or know their history of Ladakh and the Lahore Darbar (Sikh Empire 1799-1849).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, our party has also reiterated that a Sikh delegation should sit with the delegates of Communist China and Hindu India when Ladakh comes up for discussion. Hiding the facts will not help the forces of Hindutva hold their singular and distorted views in The Tribune.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google Search should also revise its account on Ladakh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
