Sikhs mind being called terrorists by The Tribune and others. Simranjit Singh Mann, Member of Parliament.
The Tribune dated 21st September 2023.
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that if we go through this print in The Tribune, written by the correspondent Sandeep Dikshit, we can see that most countries have condemned the assassination by the Hindu Indian states security and secret services of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.
But the correspondent Sandeep Dikshit has called Hardeep Singh Nijjar a terrorist. Why should an assassinated Sikh by the Hindu Indian state be referred to as such?
The Tribune and Sandeep Dikshit do not know what pain it causes to the stateless Sikh peoples.
We condemn the insensitivity of the majoritarian Hindutva adherents.
In The Tribune dated 21st September 2023 a column written by correspondent Ajay Banerjee entitled ‘India upset over Canada not honouring pact on terror’ has also hurt Sikhs sentiments by calling the Sikhs terrorists.
But we will oppose these majoritarian Hindutva writers till they settled down to appreciate that Sikhs are a separate nation and want to live with honour and dignity even if we fall to the bullet of Hindutva assassins.
