Trilateral talks are possible and UN Security Council resolution of 1948 ordering a plebiscite in Kashmir is the only peaceful solution – Simranjit Singh Mann.
The Tribune dated 09th November 2019
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that trilateral talks can take place because THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) in 1984 took military action against the stateless Sikh’s by seeking military support of Britain and the Soviet Union. This was a trilateral military action. Now this is a precedent.
The Simla Agreement cannot be a solution as Islamic Pakistan was totally humiliated in the 1971 war, just as Germany was humiliated in World War 1 and it had to sign on the dotted line when the Versailles Treaty was signed in 1919. Similarly Pakistan signed the Simla Agreement. Therefore stating that only bilateral talks can be held between The Islamic and Hindu states does not hold good any longer. If USA wants to mediate, then we can find a solution and end a part of the enmity between the Islamic and Hindu states. The other solution is to carry out a plebiscite in Kashmir ordered by the UN Security Council. Otherwise we can wait till the chickens come home to roost.
The Sikh’s stand for peace and we do not want war. We will neither fight nor participate in any war. When there is a peaceful and a democratic solution, and the Hindu state says and believes in democracy then why is it dithering?
