This statement of the Union Government is a red herring – Simranjit Singh Mann.

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Air Force Mirage war planes that were sent to the so called terror camp at Balakot did not destroy this camp but discharged their ordinance in the forest close by, as the pilots got scared that they may be captured by the Pathan’s in case they had to bail out.
We are not certain that the intelligence services are giving the correct intelligence to the right wing Hindutva Union Government as all these services are manned by hard core Hindutva officials and there are no Sikh’s or other officials who may be non-Hindus and who could give correct divergent assessments.
Therefore, what the right wing ultra Nationalist Government wants to hear, those views are given by the services. There is an English phrase which says once bitten twice shy. We think that the forces on the other side of the Radcliffe Line are not amateurs who would energise the camps that were to be bombed in the Balakot raid. So this is a red herring which the services have swallowed and reported accordingly to the radical Union Government. A wise English poet says-fools step in where angels fear to tread.
