The Stateless Sikh civilization is in danger of being annihilated by a nuclear and hydraulic war. Will the United Nations put this fear on its record? – Simranjit Singh Mānn

Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that the Sikh’s are not worried whether these dams have the footprints of the Communist Chinese or not. Our worry and fear is that the dams constructed on these rivers by the Hindu Indian state, rivers like Sutlej, Bias, Ravi, Chenab, Jhelum and Indus can be used as hydraulic weapons of war against the Sikh civilization which exists in the plains of the Punjab and stretches across into Islamic Pakistan.
We are not exaggerating this threat but the Hindu Indian state put it in practice in 1988 when it opened the flood gates of the Bhakhra Dam on the river Sutlej, which destroyed countless Sikh homes and lives. The Hindu state then showed the Sikhs that if they continued with their struggle for an independent and sovereign Sikh State, they would have to bare such consequences as the flood gates of the other two river dams of the Beas and Ravi would also be opened.
We do not know why a country like Islamic Pakistan which lies down river of these dams has not protested. In Afghanistan, the Hindu Indian state has also built a dam that could be used as a hydraulic weapon of war. Besides this, we Sikh’s fear the dam built by the Communist Chinese on river Sutlej as it flows out of Tibet now in Chinese territory.
We do hope countries that are concerned about weapons of war will consider the plight of the Sikh peoples that can be washed away by these hydraulic weapons. Besides this, the Sikhs fear that their Sikh Homeland – Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh (U.T.), Rajasthan, Kutch in Gujarat, Leh and Ladakh is bound in by three nuclear armed states who are perennially at one another’s throats, these being Islamic Pakistan, Hindu India and Communist China.
Since the Sikhs are neither Hindus nor Muslims nor Communist Chinese, we stateless peoples are in fear of a nuclear and hydraulic war whereby our civilization would be totally annihilated. We wish to place this agenda on the United Nations records.
