The BSF and the Police cannot shoot and kill a person according to their whims. Article 21 of the Constitution forbids such killings. – Simranjit Singh Mānn
The Tribune Dated 16th January, 2021
Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that our Party condemns the killing of a person by the BSF. Article 21 of the Constitution clearly states- No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law.
Our Party is of the opinion that the Punjab Police must register a case of murder against the BSF personnel responsible for this foul and inhuman act.
From the intelligence point of view it is a blunder to shoot down a person who is labeled an intruder as no information of any kind can be had by the BSF in shooting down such persons.
The public and the judiciary never come to know about the capture of fire arms and heroin and other drugs seized in such encounters. If the judiciary records these seizers then the same seized contraband cannot be shown again and again by these authorities manning the borders.
Facta non Verba.
