Comments by Simranjit Singh Mann: Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) states that it is surprising and ironic that Premier Narinder Modi is celebrating the birth of the founder of the Buddhist religion Sidarath Buddha. The fact is that Premier Modi belongs to the BJP-RSS party whose Hindu leaders like Shankarachariya in the past took up arms and his Hindu followers expelled Buddhism from the land of its birth, the Indian sub-continent, which subsequently went on to flourish in Afghanistan, Tibet, Sikkim, Bhutan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and China.
The recent events in the geo-politics of South Asia have suddenly made the Union government of Premier Modi in Delhi turn a full circle against the Buddhist religion.
In a quick gesture to genuflect before the might of Communist China, at its behest the BJP-RSS extremist Union government of THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) under Premier Narinder Modi has ordered all the states and state functionaries to ignore the Buddhist religious leader the Dalai Lama who had sought political asylum in the Hindu state after fleeing Lhasa after the Chinese troops had seized Tibet. At the outset of the 1959 Tibetan uprising, fearing for his life, the Dalai Lama and his retinue fled Tibet with the help of the CIA’s Special Activities Division, crossing into India on 30 March 1959, reaching Tezpur in Assam on 18 April. Since then the Dalai Lama has been allowed to establish his Tibetan government in exile in THIS (Theocratic Hindu Indian State) at Dharmashala.
Since that time the Dalai Lama has been given great respect by the Hindu Indian state. In fact the BJP-RSS the radical Hindu party had criticised Jawaharlal Nehru the then Prime Minister for not opposing the occupation of Tibet. Now suddenly the same BJP-RSS party under Premier Narinder Modi which rules THIS at the Union level has come under great pressure from China to contain the freedom of the Dalai Lama, who is not permitted to tour or visit any place in the Hindu state, and no state functionary is to entertain the Dalai Lama to a state or private function. Therefore before venturing on his visit to China, the Buddhist religious leader the Dalai Lama has been confined to his so called residence in Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and as the press is controlled by the Hindu Union government, no news of the Dalai Lama are is being printed or broadcast in the print and electronic media.
It must also be mentioned that before Premier Modi went as a vassal of China to meet the powerful Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Modi ordered a full scale military exercise of his Air Force, Gaganshakti, stating that it is capable of taking on both China and Islamic Pakistan at the same time if necessity requires. The Hindu states Air Force consists of aged flying machines-Jaguars, Mirages, MIG’s etc which as per our party’s assessment cannot take on Islamic Pakistan and Communist China simultaneously.
Whatever, the boasts the Hindu Indian media makes of Premier Modi’s visit to China, the only thing we can say is that China was courteous and engaged the Hindu guest to several cultural events and a boat ride with President Xi.
We fail to understand how the visit of Premier Modi could bare fruit when his country has a military and strategic alliance with the US, Japan, UK, Australia and Vietnam. All these countries have got together to contain China on its coast and not allow it to venture out into the South China Sea, the Pacific and the Indian Ocean.
We have put this question to the leading print media press like the Hindustan Times, Indian Express, Times of India and The Tribune but they are only printing the Hallelujah’s of Premier Modi’s success.
Our party’s assessment of Premier Modi’s visit to China is that his country is now a vassal of China and as the result of China’s growing might has had a domino effect on Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Burma, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, so also THIS has become a supplicant, economically and militarily and besides this has lost its stature of a moral power by shutting in the Dalai Lama. Our party would appreciate if any annalist could give us an alternative view?
